Come spend the weekend with us. Build your own custom PowderJet. You can choose the model and shape and even create your own artwork for a custom topsheet. Leave at the end of the weekend with a totally one of a kind PowderJet ready to ride.
Classes run from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, and are held here at our shop on the southern Maine coast in York. To make sure you get the attention you need, we limit each class to six students. You can choose from one of our available dates, or if you've got a group of four, we'd be glad to hold a workshop just for you. Get in touch with dates and we'll see what we can come up with.
Your class fee includes dinner at our Friday evening kick-off (BYOB) and breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We promise to feed you well. You're free to explore on Saturday night, or just kick it at the beach if you'd rather. Lodging isn't included, but there are plenty of great hotels, rental houses, and campgrounds in York, Kittery, and nearby Portsmouth, NH. You can also camp here at the shop for an extra $15 a night. We've got a full kitchen, shower, wi-fi, and even a mini ramp if you want to skate.
Our shop is located on a farm in York, Maine about 10 minutes from some of the best surfing in New England. We're also only 15 minutes from Portsmouth, NH if you want to find beer or sushi. We share our shop with Grain Surfboards, so while you're here, you can check out their shop and boards. They might even let you demo one if you ask nicely.
Once you've registered, we'll be in touch to work out the details of your specific build. Because each board is a custom project, we like to contact you individually to work out the specs for your board and graphics. And, in case you're wondering, you don't need any fancy woodworking skills. As long as you can follow basic directions and display some common sense, you should leave with most of your fingers. We'll see you here!
The available dates are on the drop-down menu. (All classes taught at the shop in York, ME are weekend long unless otherwise noted.) We'll be adding more to meet demand, so be sure to check back if you don't see something that works; or get three friends together and schedule your own private class.
